Scripture Reading: Romans 8:17
An heir is “someone who has been appointed to receive an inheritance.” An heir is a person who receives something of value from a father (see Mark 12:7). The Bible sometimes uses the word heir to describe us as recipients of a gift from God (Galatians 4:7). We are “heirs” of God, and Christ is our “co-heir” (Romans 8:17). Meaning, believers have been given the privilege of sharing Christ’s inheritance. As adopted sons of God, Christians are treated as firstborn heirs (Hebrews 12:23). We become heirs of God when we trust Christ for our salvation. Christ sacrifice on the Cross brings us forgiveness of sin and adoption into the family of God. – “God sent his Son to redeem those under the law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.” (Gal. 4:4). It is God’s will that everyone be blessed, according to the Scriptures. His promise of a fulfilling and abundant life is given to all who believe. It does not matter who you are, your race or nationality, how educated or rich you are, whether single or married, God wants you to be blessed. He tells Abraham, “I will make you a great nation, I will bless you… and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you” (Gen. 12:2). Enjoy what God has given you. God didn’t bless you so that you can’t enjoy them. If God blesses you with a nice home, enjoy it. If God blesses you with a nice car, enjoy it. There is nothing to feel guilty about enjoying the blessings of God. One of the greatest reasons God blesses you is so that you may give of what you have to others. There is nothing better than to help someone who is without. Being able to take what God has blessed you with and share it with someone who is without will make the blessings of God g more enduring and adds no sorrow. God blessed you in life not so that you can hoard your blessings to yourself, but that you can share them with others. If you share them with others, you will find that God will keep the faucet of blessings open in your life.
Beloved whatever may be the adverse wind blowing your direction at the moment, consider it as momentary. The wind shall soon blow away and the blessings of God will come upon you. Friend, when evil wind begins to blow, immediately, seek the intervention of the Most High God. A touch from The Lord changes everything. What you actually need is the blessing of God. Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, “Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request.” (1 Chronicles 4:10 AMP). “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22 NKJV). The blessing of The Lord upon you is God taking you by the hand and subduing nations before you, opening every shut door against you and making crooked places straight, breaking in pieces any barriers to your success and giving you treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places – Isaiah 45:1-3.
God’s blessings are real and are available for all. They are not for God’s benefit but for our benefit and rejoicing.
