FRIDAY DAY 15 (Day 9 of the Prayer/ Fasting)

Scripture Reading: Genesis 29:31

Yesterday we reflected and prayed for those who are barren as a result of recurrent miscarriages. Today we remember in a special way families that are involuntarily (biologically) childless. Infertility is generally seen as the inability to conceive after at least a year of unprotected sex, or the inability to carry a pregnancy to a live birth. There are many reasons for infertility in families ranging from medical reasons of Azoospermia (No sperm cells being produced), Oligospermia (Too few sperm cells being produced), Adequate quantity of sperm cells produced, but with defects, Ovulation disorder, Blocked fallopian tubes, Birth defects involving uterine structure, Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome, etc. To spiritual reasons of infertility; Spiritual husband and wife, ancestral yokes and divine chastisement, etc.  If the root of your problem is spiritual, then, be assured that medical science may not solve it. These, account for the many causes of infertilities which years of medical treatment have not been able to cure; resulting in psychological, emotional and spiritual crisis.

Is it God’s will for me to conceive and give birth to children? Yes, absolutely, the first command God gave to mankind was to “be fruitful and multiply.” Genesis 9:1, after the flood, God again commanded Noah and his family saying, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.” It is not God’s will to withhold any blessing from you. In Psalm 84:11, the scripture says “….He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.” Psalm 113:9 declares “He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the LORD!” Genesis 33:5 says, “Then Esau looked at the women and children and asked, who are these people with you? These are the children God has graciously given to me, your servant, Jacob replied.” Are you married? Are you a born-again believer? If yes, then the blessing of fruitfulness of the womb is already available to you. All you have to do is apply faith (confidence) in God’s willingness and ability to make you fruitful and most assuredly fruitfulness of the womb will be realized and appropriated to you. No matter the delay, hold unto God’s word, the Lord will give you, your own children. We have seen cases of 10, 20, 30 years of barrenness becoming fruitful again.

Share this testimony with me: “My name is Mrs. J.I. God blessed my daughter with the fruit of the womb after waiting for five years. I give God all the glory and praise for he has done it again. My daughter delivered a bouncing baby boy this morning”. Soak yourself in the word until faith springs forth; believe the word of God more than you believe your natural circumstances, your doctors’ diagnosis, and old wives tales. All those reports in the natural may be real, but truth exists beyond what you can see, taste, hear, smell, or touch. Hear this,” A Lady diagnosed of having bent fallopian tubes by her doctor is today a mother of three children. She held on the word of God and the spoken word as we shared same with her and God answered show His power over her. Even when the doctor said she cannot put to bed except through Cesarean session (CS) God caused the baby to come out while the doctors and nurses were preparing their surgical instruments”. Halleluiah! Use your faith in God’s word to appropriate his blessings, and most assuredly, soon your desire for children will be realized. Praise God!

In Genesis 25:21 Rebekah conceived her first child in answer to Isaac’s prayers, in 1 Samuel 1:27 Hannah’s prayers for a child were answered after she made a solemn vow to God. Luke 1:13, 14 John the Baptist was conceived as the result of Zechariah’s prayers. Your own prayer for children will be answered as we collectively seek the face of God in our today’s fasting. The Lord that remembered Leah in her misery of barrenness and opened her womb will do it for you today in the name of Jesus. God says that there shall be testimonies galore for all that believe. While you take today’s prayer do the following: Make a redeemable vow to God. Secondly anoint yourself with holy oil blessed by a Catholic Priest.

Prayer Points:

  1. Begin by making a redeemable vow to God. Do it with thanksgiving in your heart. Praise and worship Him whole-heartedly.
  2. I thank You Father because You are not man that You should lie, neither a son of man that you should change Your mind. LORD, I believe You will fulfill every word You have spoken concerning my life in the name of Jesus.
  3. Father, forgive me, in any way or in any form I may have brought barrenness upon my life and marriage; and heal me, in the name of Jesus
  4. Eternal God, I come before you today to receive the power to be fruitful in the name of Jesus.
  5. Because the Scriptures cannot be broken, I cannot be childless or unfruitful in any area of my life in the name of Jesus. Amen.
  6. I break every curse of barrenness upon my life in the name of Jesus.
  7. Every power of darkness inflicting unfruitfulness upon my life, I bind you in the name of Jesus. I destroy every cord of barrenness tied around my marriage and family in the name of Jesus.

Exercise: Take the Warfare/Breakthrough prayer on miscarriages seriously today.
