Scripture Reading: Isaiah 10:27
Today, the Holy Spirit leads us on a journey of truth especially about the concept of the “anointing that breaks the yoke”. Let us not be so carried away by the amount of oil to be used in our struggle against the activities of the enemy. We are in a very precarious situation as it relates to our faith because Christianity has become so much endangered by so many evil teachings, and what is more painful is that a lot of people are treading the path of lies and deceits.
The anointing that will broke the yoke of the enemy is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Recall, the great man Elijah, he did a lot of exploits for the Lord because he was a man full of the anointing that breaks the yoke. In other to get this anointing, Elisha had to follow Elijah all the way from Bethel through Jericho to Jordan. And He got a double portion of Elijah’s anointing. (2 Kings 2) A brother sharing a testimony about his life, testified of how his accepting Christ and being filled with the power of the Holy Spirit was able to battle the powers that has challenged his life, even the powers of death. Do all at your disposal to improve your life of prayer, the act of studying and meditating on the word of God, fellowshipping with brethren, visiting of the Blessed Sacrament, and taking out time to go to a lonely place to pray.
Do not be an ordinary Christian. Do not be casual and lax about your journey towards eternity. For the battle we fight is of the spirit and not anything physical. Joseph was a man full of the anointing that breaks the yoke. His brothers become a tool of death against his life, his morality was tested, and his journey from the pit to the palace was made possible because the Holy Spirit was ACTIVELY present in his life. The Lord also encourages us today, that as many times that we often invite people to pray for us, and for the liberation of our homes, the best ways to follow up to the program of prayer is for us to be recharged with the power of the Holy Spirit. It is for us to be recharged in true commitment to the ways and things of God. The Scripture tells us that our Saviour, Jesus was filled with power and the Holy Spirit, and went about doing good. John had the Baptism of the Holy Spirit even in the womb. Let the yoke (every evil burden) break because of the Holy Spirit present within us.
