(Day 6 of the Fasting and Prayer Programme)

COME, ACCESS YOUR COVENANT RIGHTS!Scripture Reading: Psalms 145:1 – 2
God is great, and cannot get tired (Isaiah 40:28), He cannot take on the job He cannot handle (Jer. 32:17), He cannot break a promise, neither will He remember the sins He has forgiven. He cannot abandon or stop thinking about you (Psalms. 139:17 – 18). So today, He calls us into His covenant of Favour for those who position themselves to receive. The Scripture says, “For His anger is but for a moment; His favour is for a life time. Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes with the morning.” (Psalms. 30:5) Beloved every believer depends on the favour of God, which actually determines the limit of one’s destiny. How far man goes in life depends squarely on the favour of God. The Scripture says, “So it is not a matter of what any person wants or what any person does, but only of God having mercy” (Romans 9:16) (NJB). God’s favour is so powerful and can raise the poor from the dust, the needy from the dunghill; giving him a place with the princes (1 Sam. 2:8) (NJB). To access God’s covenant of favour, therefore, believers MUST be prepared to promote the kingdom of God on earth. (Matt. 6:33) The desire to earnestly serve God and neighbour is a covenant that opens the window of favour upon you. Another window to God’s favour is when you sow seeds towards the growth of the church. The Scripture says, “Whoever strives for good obtains favour. . ..” (Proverbs 11:27) God’s heart is turned in favour of all who willingly, not grudgingly, assist the church and the spread of the gospel with their resources. Thirdly, believers must dwell in prayers, seeking God’s intervention. For the Scripture says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (Heb. 4:16)
Beloved, when you give God thanks for all the good things you received earlier, you make Him move in your favour. Ingratitude is a call for misfortune. Dear child of God, the Holy Spirit invites us during the 21 days fasting and prayer to access His covenant of favour by dedication, prayer, and gratitude to God. You will experience stupendous favour of God if you abide by these rules.
