THURSDAY DAY 3

DIVINE PROMOTION (1)

Scripture Reading: Psalm 75:6-7

As believers, we have to look unto God for our promotion not neglecting hard work, as promotion is a reward. However, due to high competition in the world today and in some fields of job or operations, some people are denied their rights to promotion but as you pray today, the God of justice will restore you or take you to your deserved level in life.  For sixteen years a man was denied of promotion at his place of work. He continued to put in his best on the work, did excellently well in all the promotional interviews that he attended. He was denied promotion because of religious and ethnic considerations. His boss would say to him: “You cannot seat on that sit unless I am no more here. Even if I am redeployed, I assure you that you cannot still get that which you are asking for”. The man continued to pray; reminding God that his promotion can only come from Him. As God would have it, event turned out that the boss had to give way. Few days later, a letter of promotion was sent from his Head Office directing that he starts functioning in the position previously occupied by the boss. What a great God we serve!!

1 Kings 11:28 says; “And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.” Daniel 2:48; “Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.” Daniel 3:30; “Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.” Psalm 113:7-8; “He lifts the poor from the dust, and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, even the princes of his own people.”

Promotion does not discriminate against the poor. Whereas we cannot rule out the role of mercy, even so, promotion is a reward of merit. if you desire promotion in any facet of life, our text tells us that only God promotes. Therefore, put your trust in God, and your promotion will manifest sooner rather than later, and it will be beyond your wildest imagination in Jesus’ Name.
