Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 4:8

There are so many who are going through serious difficult mo- ments now. You might be going through tough times but do not give up for God is with you. Believe God for victory. Hold fast unto God and He will never disappoint you.

Whatever we do at the moment of trials shows what we think of God. The period of trial is also a moment when our true self will be revealed. It is a period to show God that irrespective of what we may be passing through, we will still be for Him and do His will. When our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ was suffering, he did not turn his back against God or abandoned the will of God the Father, rather He glorified God in His suffering and God lifted Him and gave Him a Name above every other name. St. Paul reminds us that though we may be at the end of the rope we are never at the end of our hope. Our perishable bodies are subject to sin and suffering but God never abandons us. Christ has won the victory over death and we share in that victory. Therefore, let us be assured that all our risks, humiliations and trials that we face are but opportunities for Christ to demonstrates His power and presence in and through us.

Let us emulate our Lord Jesus Christ during moments of trials and tribulations. Let us always read the word of God for it will guide and direct us. Always pray and seek the face of God. God will never abandon us; He will surely deliver us. Do not give up your good ways rather increase in the good ways of life. Let us meditate on the word of God in 2 Corinthians 4:8 which says: “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in de- spair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not de- stroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.”
