Scripture Reading: Isaiah 43:1-21
Yesterday, the Holy Spirit admonishes us never to doubt the Power, Majesty and Sovereignty of our God. Nothing is impossible to Him and nothing can stop the restoration of all who believe, without doubting or being anxious. No wonder, St. Francis de Sales says, “True waiting means waiting without anxiety.” Hear this, “Three hundred years ago, a man condemned to the Tower of London carved these words on the stone wall of the prison, “It is not adversity that kills, but the impatience with which we bear the adversity.”
Today, the Lord says to you, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold I will do a new thing. Now, it will spring forth. Will you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:18-19). What a wonderful and compassionate God we serve. He is our Shepherd and Provider per excellence. He says a thing and does it. The Scripture says, “God is not a man that he should lie; neither the son of man; that he should repent: hath he said and shall not he do it? Or hath he spoken and shall he not make it good?” (Num. 23:19). The Lord has promised to do a new thing. The new thing God is about to do in your life shall not be delayed. He will make a way in your desert. During this second half of 2016, the Lord will promote you to new levels. There will be new title, office, privileges, language, joy, victory etc.
Share this testimony with me: “…. when our situation became so unbearable, my husband sent Bro. Jude a text message concerning our situation for prayers and intervention of God’s mercy. We were also confronted with the rent of a new house of N250, 000. THAT WILL EXPIRE COME February 2016. But just before dawn, our merciful God looked down from heaven. Last week Thursday 10th of November 2015, our story changed from lack and want, poverty, stagnation etc to affluence and abundance as we were awarded a contract … and so many opening business doors….” This is exactly how God demonstrates His power to bring about a new beginning in the life of any man. Beloved in Christ, it does not matter how bad the situation had been. Today He says, I will do a new thing. First, believe the voice, promise, and declaration of the Spirit to you today. Friend, the past months may have been characterized by hardship, business failures, sickness, and disease, starvation and stagnation; the one who divided the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21-28) says I will restore to you your dignity and glory. The One who did not spare His only begotten Son, but allowed Him to undergo the most cruel and shameful death on the Cross for you says I will restore you this time around. You only need to believe, friend, thanking God for great things He has done could be easy, but thanking Him when things seem not to work out can be difficult. Yet that is what separates the thankful from the unthankful. Hear this, “In one year a sister lost her job, lost her car to thieves and her flat to fire. During the New Year eve, she was praising God more than anyone else; and when asked why, she said,“ that inspite of everything that the enemies tried to do she was still alive” this is the type of a prayerful and thankful attitude that the Holy Spirit says we must present as we move into the second half of 2016. Thank God for your life, deliverance from all forms of snares and situations. Be hopeful for more glorious days ahead.
- Take a worship song as you are led to thank God for life and repent of your unbelief.
- Bring before the Lord all your heart desires, expectations and dreams. Take these prayers: O Lord, I know that there is not one as holy, compassionate and powerful as you are. Daddy! I know that without you, Satan and his cohorts would have made mincemeat of my family and me. Daddy I thank you so much for protecting us. Father, you are the only one who can lift the poor from the dust and raise the needy from their misery; so Father change my story that I may be a glory to your name. Do not allow me to become a source of shame and disgrace to your awesome name. Restore me O Lord in …. (Mention them). In Jesus name Amen.
- Thank you for answered prayers.
