TUESDAY 19 (Day 12 of the Prayer/ Fasting)

Scripture Reading: Revelation 3:7-8

Dear friends, the level of unemployment is alarming and devastating to any rational and faith minded person. It is certain that joblessness is not the mind of God for his children. In John 5:17 “Jesus said to them, My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working.” Jesus want us to be at work, He want us to work. Unemployment is a great distress which many believers are suffering from. So united in prayer, let us seek the face of God today concerning the unemployed and the under paid. “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).  Many of our brethren need divine connection for a good job, and we know that our Divine Provider can provide it.

Share this testimony with me” My name is Sis Mercy. My friend named Lawrence who attends Redeemed Church was encouraged to pray the Rosary of Liberation in the Daily Strength Devotional; after he had told me of his problems. I also backed him up in prayers and after two weeks of our prayers his promotion that had been denied for three years was released. Besides, after another two weeks he testified to me that his salary had been normalized as he was previously being short paid” Brethren, you can do everything right and still get laid off your job. You may have lost your job because of an unjust boss, someone’s slander, hatred and all manners of wickedness from colleagues. The Spirit of God says to you do not cry hopelessly for even the wrongs done to you by others are part of God’s plan to bring you great good. God has planned every loss as a way to bring you great and glorious good. God is not worried about GDP growth, unemployment figures, or manufacturing indexes.  He controls everything, including the heart of every business owner in your city. God is in complete control of your employment.  Do not neglect networking, interviewing, sending out resumes, and praying for a job; be assured that God will work through your efforts.  Just be sure that you are not unemployed due to pride, laziness or insincerity, God will supply you the job and the income you need in order to fulfill His call. Hear this from a user of Daily Strength Devotional:”I was selected to represent my team in competition at work to compete with 30 other teams. Even though it was a stiff quiz competition, the Lord was by my side and revealed answers to questions, I had never even heard of before and I came out as winner God has a perfect plan for each day you are unemployed. After working in the organization for two years as Contract staff I was one of the sixty staff whose employment was confirmed. Praise God!”. As we approach God for divine opening of doors of financial income, we have faith that “Not one word of all the good promises that the LORD had made to the house of Israel( mention your name) had failed; all came to pass” (Joshua 21:45).
