Scripture Reading: Job 14:7-10

It is possible that some Users of Daily Strength may be saying especially after yesterday’s reflection: “Is it possible to improve in my spiritual life? I have gone very far in occultism, promiscuity, adultery, and many others”. The Holy Spirit assures you today through his word that there is hope. You can rise again!

Verses 7 – 9 of our reference today says, “There is hope for a tree that has been cut down; it can come back to life and spout. Even though its roots grow old, and its stump dies in the ground, with water it will sprout like a young plant”. Dear friend, Job, in his pain, observed that a tree cut down can sprout and live again. This is because its roots are still in the soil. However, when a tree is uprooted from the root it cannot survive, no matter how much water and manure put into it. Dear child of God, what is the situation with your spiritual and physical health, finances, work or anything for that matter. Just this morning I had a call from a User of Daily Strength, he says, “Before I got married I had a dream. In this dream I was told that I will turn to nothing after the marriage”. He informed his mother about it, and was advised to pray. He did, but without much interest and commitment. Just about eight months into the marriage, he would need someone to assist him with a recharge card before he could make a call. He is at the verge of selling off his car and other valuables to be able to survive. This sounds serious, unimaginable, but it is true. Some Users of Daily Strength may be in worse conditions. Listen to this, the Lord says to you “be hopeful”. My response to the brethren in our example today was to be faithful and patient with the Lord. As in Matthew 6:33, I advised him to take the things of God much more seriously and watch what happens before the end of this year 2015. He would not have the need to sell his car or any equipment because he will sprout again. Beloved, you may be going through rejection, sickness, spiritual dryness, lose of job, barreness, oppression from your boss etc; take note that the Lord is well able to rescue you and bring a new lease of life upon you. Your past may have been so devastated by sin and life seems shattered, irredeemable, and confused, the God you serve is the ‘Master Porter’. He will remould you and make your life blossom as if nothing happened in the past. As I prophesied to the family in our reflection this morning, I decree same to you. Let God arise and all your enemies be scattered. (Psa. 68:1)

Listen to Proverbs 23:18, “There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off’ (NIV). This is so because, in Jeremiah 29:11 the Lord says, “I alone know the plans that I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you nope for”.

Beloved, this is the mind and totality of God’s “plan for all His children who believe. Do you believe this eternal truth? Whatever you arc going through today, believe that God has the capacity and capability to bring about the future of your dream. Nothing is impossible to him. Never make the mistake of blaming yourself for your past mistakes. They happened so that you can learn from it and glorify the name of the Lord. Job said that it is possible for the stump to sprout again, if water is put into it; so will your spiritual and physical condition, finances, marital etc, sprout if you engage in tne followings:

Surrender yourself once again to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Forgive yourself of past mistakes and or wrongs that you may have made. (Ezra 10:2).

Thirdly, study the Word of God and meditate on it daily. Believe everything therein, because they are inspired and settled in heaven. (Isaiah 40:8).

Prayer points:

  1. Take up a worship song as the Holy Spirit leads you
  2. Lord, I sincerely appreciate my failings in the past and humbly lay my life at the foot or your cross
  3. O’ God of power and might, in your love and compassion, water the stumps in my life (mention them) so that I can sprout and bear positive fruits again
  4. Lord, I sincerely ask that you have mercy on the family in the reflection today. Restore him and his family in Jesus name
  5. Restore O God all Daily Strength Users undergoing strange and negative events in their lives
  6. Pray for all Financial Partners and Distributors that the Lord restores them adequately in the name of Jesus Christ.

Exercise: Decree a thing concerning your situation today and it shall come to pass.
