Scripture Reading: Psalm 10: 1-2
In 1 Corinthians 15: 52, the Scripture says, “In a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed”. (KJV) In 2 Peter 3:10, the scripture also says, “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night; in which the heaven shall pass away with great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burnt up” (KJV). Friend, the Holy Spirit at today’s reflection assures you that our God is a God that does things unexpectedly. This is shown by the scriptural references above. They describe the suddenness and the unexpected way the day of the Lord shall come. He cannot be controlled by any man. ‘He is the Alpha and Omega, and does whatsoever He purposes to do; and no power in hell can stop Him.
Yesterday, the Lord told us that He was going to do a new thing. Today He asks us to be vigilant and sober so that we shall not miss His benefits when He suddenly arises to help us. We serve a God of the suddenly, because He has the power and privileges to appear suddenly in the boat of your life to answer your prayers. As the Israelites were confronted by the Red Sea, their Deliverer showed up and provided a way of escape for them. (Exodus 14: 10-20). Hannah had prayed so many years for the gift of a child until the fateful day the Lord turned His face to shine upon her. The Lord remembered her and suddenly her story changed for the better (1 Samuel 1: 9-18).
Share this testimony with me: “Sometime last year, I sent a text to you informing you of my challenge having left the North to Lagos January 2012 due to the insurgency; got a job in March worked for 16 months but have over 10 months of unpaid salaries. A man with three children of school age. You sent a prayer programme to me to have nine days prayer. At the end of the novena … Some persons helped me to pay the school fees for my children up to third term. Now God just gave me an appointment with a new office car … I thank God for removing the reproach of unemployment and disgrace.” Beloved, this is what the Lord shall do for you during this second half of this year. Our scriptural reference today says, “Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble, incline thine ear unto me; in the day when I call answer me speedily.” As we bring our challenges to Him today, He would incline His ears to you and answer you speedily. During this second part of this year and beyond, the Lord shall trouble as many that are troubling you; because He has declared to do a new thing in your life. (Isaiah 48:3). Your Red Sea (that which stands between you and your Promised Land) shall be the same instrument that God shall use to destroy your adversaries. Do not be afraid of your future for He has taken control of it. He is watching and shall remember you this time. He shall arise and execute vengeance on all fighting your joy and progress. You can therefore confess to your enemies as in Micah 7:8, “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.”
- Take a worship song as you are led
- As I enter into the second half of this year I decree and declare as follows:
– I separate my life and that of my family from all evil family altars in Jesus name.
– I destroy all the evil hands placed upon me or my family in Jesus name.
– In the name of the Resurrected Christ, I set confusion into the life and mist of agents of Satan pursuing me.
– I withdraw from the enemy’s camp all my belongings including my certificate, talents and virtues in Jesus name.
– I command every agent of discouragement to loose its hold over my life in Jesus name.
– I command every agent of frustration and fear to loose its hold over my life in Jesus name
– The second part of this year shall be more glorious and eventful than the former in Jesus name.
- Thank you for answered prayers.
