Scripture Reading:  Deuteronomy 30:11

Today, the Lord wants us to correct a very wrong mindset that makes the children of God not to do exploits that bring them breakthrough and God’s blessings.  Most times we often through excuses dodge what we can do.  This happens mostly when we think that we are going to do it with our power.  Our scripture reading today tells us that, “The command that I am giving you today is not too difficult or beyond your reach”.  Whatever the Lord laid in your heart to do; do not neglect it on any excuse.

Take a look around our world; look around your state, community, church, there is something you can do to bail out the situation.  The only community school in your village has become dilapidated and you have the resources to do it; JUST DO IT.  What about empowering the youths of your community who are becoming wayward.

Something happened in Genesis 22:2 “Take your son,” God said, “your only son, Isaac, whom you love so much, and go to the land of Moriah.  There on a mountain that I will show you, offer him as a sacrifice to me”.  This command God demanded from Abraham was quite a difficult one, humanly speaking it was absurd.  It was an unacceptable command.  But do you know that Abraham accepted to do it.  Simply because Abraham obeyed, God did not only provide the ram for the sacrifice, he also blessed Abraham. Genesis 22:15-17 tells us how God blessed Abraham; “Then angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time, “I make a vow by my own name- the Lord is speaking- that I will richly bless you. Because you did this and did not keep back your only son from me, I promise that I will give you as many descendants as there are stars in the sky or grains of sand along the seashore.  Your descendants will conquer their enemies.”  If Abraham had been carried away by the ‘difficulty mentality,’ maybe he would have even lost Isaac. Moses also was trapped by difficulty mentality in Exodus 3:11.  There are many instances in the bible where God commanded people to do one thing or the other for Him.  Mary the Mother of Our Saviour Jesus Christ also received such difficult task from human point of view.  Beloved in Christ, what is it that the Lord has commanded you to do today? Is it to make those suffering gain freedom; to make the message of our Lord Jesus Christ get to places where they are hungry of it;  JUST DO IT!  You shall be rewarded by the Lord

Dearest in Christ, the Lord is telling you that you can. He says to you not to be afraid, “Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and confident! Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for I, the Lord your God am with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).  Our failure always begins when we rely on our own strength.  God is not looking for men who are capable but men who are willing.  So whenever we think that God’s commands is difficult, just know that Satan is at work trying to discourage us from glorifying God with our lives. Be part of our one day fasting/prayer tomorrow. Pray that every blessing that heaven released to you during the 21Day fasting/prayer programme will manifest without delay.
