As human beings, we ardently yearn for love, communion, companionship, mutual co-existence, interrelation and interaction. To realize this desire, we inevitably enter into friendship. Hence, friendship is a necessity in the life of every human person. But it is so saddening that we often record cases of broken friendships; whereby families are destroyed, relationships shattered and friends become enemies. This is as a result of two realities; namely pride on the one hand, and unwillingness to forgive on the other hand. In one way or the other, we all are guilty in this regard, as owing to our pride and pompous ego, we find it difficult to tender apologies whenever we err or hurt others.
