Scripture Reading:Philippians 4:6
“Worrying is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind and if allowed to continue into the heart, it cuts off the channel through which other positive thoughts can come in. This is very serious!”
St. Paul writing to Timothy says, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind,” (2Tim. 1:7). One renowned evangelist, Billy Sunday once said, “Fear knocked at my door. Faith answered……and there was no one there.”So when fear knocks at the door of your heart, remember that your Commander in Chief of the Supreme Head Quarters of heaven neither sleeps nor slumbers. Remember that He shed His Precious Blood on the tree of Calvary for you and avails for you at all times. This should be your response for fear. Hear Dizeraeli, “Nothing in life is more remarkable than the unnecessary anxiety which we endure and generally create ourselves. “No wonder St. Paul advises, “Do not be worried about anything but in all your prayers ask God for what you need always asking with a thankful heart.”
Friend, worry is one of the wicked weapons of Satan to create doubts in the heart of the believer. The moment doubt is created, fear sets in; and weakens in the believer’s faith the capacity of God to help at all times. In fact, worrying does not help the trouble of tomorrow, rather ruins today’s happiness. John Lubbock says, “A day of worrying is more exhausting than a day of hard work.”Beloved child of God, what is it that is disturbing your peace today? Do it have anything to do with your health, finance, marital issues business failure, failed relationships or childlessness, the Holy Spirit says to you, “Leave all your worries with Him, because He cares for you” (1Pet 5:7). God is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.
Hear this: “Worry is like a dark room”,because darkrooms are where negatives are developed. If you cannot help worrying, remember that worrying cannot help you either. It never helps to achieve anything rather break down our immune system and opens us to all forms of negative thoughts and imaginations.
Beloved, decide not to worry or fear the unknown because your Keeper, Jesus Christ is alive.
