FRIDAY DAY 29 (Day 1 of the one day fasting/prayers)

Scripture Reading: Malachi 3:16

As we reflect on God’s word today, may God remember you for good in the name of Jesus. Dear friends in Christ, when God remembers you for good, your story changes for the better. The whole of the scriptures bears testimony to this reality. The book of Esther recorded that one night, King Ahasuerus (King Xerxes) could not sleep. He commanded that the book of record of the chronicles be brought to him and when he went through, he found the good deed of Mordecai that was yet to be rewarded. The very next day, Mordecai’s good deed to the king was rewarded in a very remarkable way, because the king remembered him. In 2 Kings 20:3 Hezekiah wept bitterly as he pray “Remember, LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” Nehemiah 5:19 says “Remember me with favour, my God, for all I have done for these people.”

Child of God, God has chosen to remember you and your household today for pleasant surprises. Beloved, people that promised to help you may have forgotten. They promised you promotion but they reneged on their promises. You may have done well unto them but they are paying you back with evil. They have forcefully taken what rightfully belongs to you. The thief may have stolen your joy, peace, belongings, blessings, etc. Your rewards may have been withheld. You may have worked and not paid for your labour. They may have substituted your original blessings for counterfeit. Just note today that God has remembered you and is turning everything around for good though they paid you with evil, plotted your downfall and destruction or falsely lied against you, today the Lord says I am turning all these to your favour. It does not matter the level of antagonism and conspiracy coming out from the camp of Satan against you the Lord says I am remembering you today. Though they built gallows to hang and destroy you, dug a pit that you may fall into it or set traps and laid their nets to catch you. The Lord shall cause your adversaries to be consumed in their evil plans. God has turned all their evil plots around for your own good.  Joseph said to his brothers, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives” (Genesis 50 :20).

They forgot the good that Mordecai did (in the book of Esther) by saving the life of the king and instead of rewarding him, Haman and his cohorts plotted against him, Esther and the whole of the Jews. In the same way, fellow commissioners with Daniel conspired against him because they were envious .The three Hebrew boys chose not to ever compromise their allegiance to their God but they were thrown into the fiery furnace of fire to be burnt. In all these satanic plots the God of Israel, who never sleeps nor slumbers remembered their faithfulness and came to their rescue. He showed up by shutting up the mouths of the lions in the den where Daniel was thrown and as the Fourth Man in the fire where the Hebrew boys were. So beloved remain faithful to God, determine not to compromise but be resolute in your faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For He says today, “Now concerning you, I have opened up the book of remembrance to reward and save you. That which the thief (Satan) has stolen, God has restored back seven-fold. Amen. The grounds that you lost to the enemy, you shall recover all without fail in the name of Jesus-Amen. What the enemy meant for evil is turned around for your good. It is your season of remembrance; God has remembered you and your household.

Prayer Points:

  1. My Father, arise! Open your book of remembrance and locate me in the name of Jesus.
  2. In the valley of forgetfulness that the enemy has put me, O God, draw me out by your mercy, in the name of Jesus.
  3. O Lord, remember me for good today in the name of Jesus.

Exercise: Never you get tired of doing good, for God will surely reward your good deeds.
