Scripture Reading: 1 Chronicles 29:10 -12
Share this testimony from a User of Daily Strength Devotional with me: “Dear Bro. Jude, please share this testimony on the power in the Eucharist (Holy Communion) with all Daily Strength Devotional family members. I was seriously down for about 8 days, while they were treating malaria and typhoid, I was dying. I could not describe what was happening to me. The miracle took place on Pentecost Sunday. Unlike me I woke up late; no life, no strength, but the Holy Ghost said, “Don’t miss Pentecost Mass. By then it was already late for the second Mass in our Parish, so I washed only my hands and face and hurried up to Mass. Throughout the Mass I was not myself; during Communion I told Jesus in the Eucharist to show up. After that short prayer I went home. He actually showed up and I was healed.”Hallelullyah! In verse 10 —11 of our reference today, David prayed, saying, “LORD God of our ancestor Jacob, may You be praised forever and ever! You are great and powerful, glorious, splendid and majestic. Everything in heaven and earth is Yours and You are king, supreme ruler over all.” Hear the Psalmist, “You will show me the path that leads to life; Your presence fills me with joy and brings me pleasure forever.” (Ps. 16:11).
Beloved in Christ, the Lord assures you, today, that He will release His power and might against all your foes. With His out stretched right hand, He will show you the path to good life. His constant love shall continue to shine upon you and in His presence you shall have fullness of joy. His right hand
shall attract pleasure to you forever and ever. To realize these, the Lord says to you, “Trust in me always and never consider what is happening around you now.”(Prov. 3:5) Do not be afraid, for He is your light and salvation. (Ps. 27:1) Trust in His power to protect you completely from your foes. (Ps. 27:1b) Then follow closely behind Him for His right hand will always uphold you. Dear child of God, the Holy Spirit opens the eyes of our minds today to acknowledge that the glory of God covers both the heavens and the earth. His powers and greatness are felt by all in heaven and earth. His commandments or instructions are trustworthy and established forever and ever. Let’s conclude today’s reflection in the words of Hannah, “From the dust he lifts up the lowly, from the dung heap he raises the poor to set him in the company of princes.” (1 Sam. 2:8).
