Scriptural Reading: 2 Peter 1:4

With the coming of Jesus into human history,  He shared in our humanity that we may share in His divinity. This exchange is within the realm of natures. He took part in our human nature so as to enable us take part in the divine nature. With this exchange done, the human family can now partake in the life of God. We, therefore, can live like God; the glorified life. What this means is that what does not exist in the nature of God cannot exist in our own nature. To this extent we are elevated to share in the authority of God and live His life of victory, glory and success. It means that we can boldly cry out in the face of sickness and torment, “I have the life of God in me; I have the Spirit of the Son of God.” And guess what, the life of God is victorious! The life of God is indestructible and glorious! O yes! It is a triumphant life. This is what Jesus gave us access to enjoy when He admitted us, through His paschal mystery, into the divine family. What this implies therefore is that we (believers) can lay our hands on the sick and they will recover; we can take deadly things and they will do us no harm; we can live in superabundance in the midst of a bastardized economy; we can live in safety in the midst of insecurity; we can say there is a lifting up when men are cast down; we can make declarations in the name of Jesus and they will come to pass. Halleluiah!!

The day we accepted Christ, something unique happened; there was exchange of lives. We now live the life of Christ. We now live in Him and He in us. St. Paul confirms this when he says that, “I have been put to death with Christ on His cross, so that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who live s in me.” (Gal. 2:19b-20a) This is the reason we can behave like Him and be recognized by the world as Christ-like. At this point, our all is enrapt and engulfed in Christ who is God. Then truly we share in the divine life and radiate the glory of the divine family. Also, God will not be ashamed to call us His sons. People of this kind cannot be oppressed by satanic agents because when their names are mentioned in satanic kingdoms, Christ appears in their stead. When their names are called, a lion will appear and say, “I am the Lion of the tribe of Judah”, a rock will appear and say, “I am the Rock of Ages”, bread will appear and  say, “I am the Bread of Life”. Should their photographs, articles of trade, clothing material, money, etc., be taken to such gatherings, they will become a source of confusion there because a part of Christ is there. Let us pray with living faith and claim the blessings God has given us in Christ Jesus.
