PRINCIPLES TO ANSWERED PRAYER (2)

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 6:18

St. Peter Elymard said “Have confidence in prayer. It is the unfailing power which God has given us. By means of it you will obtain the salvation of the dear souls which God has given you and all your loved ones. Ask and you will receive said the Lord. So be yourself good”.

PRAYING AT ALL TIMES: St Alphonsus Liguori said that “He who prays most, receives most”. God expects us to pray in and out of season, not seasonal or selected days. This is because all that we do will be possible with prayer. Are you finding life difficult? Start praying.

HOLINESS: Psalm 66:18 said “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me, and James 5:16 also said “…. the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.”. If you have been praying and there seem to be no result, perhaps you may need to carry out some spiritual audit of yourself.

FASTING: Jesus telling His disciples that there are situations that cannot be solved unless with praying and fasting. (Mk 9:29) Fasting is all about going extra miles in prayer, denying ourselves some comfort for God.
