Scripture Reading: Isaiah 40:25-31.

In Psalm 92:12 the Scripture says, “The righteous flourish like the psalm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of the LORD; they flourish in the court of our God. In old age they still produce fruit; they are always green and full of sap.; showing that the Lord is upright; he is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in him.

“This is the beauty and power of our God. Just as it is for the palm tree and the cedars of Lebanon, our God gives grace and strength to man, beauty to plants and birds of the air their shine. Hence the Psalmist says, “What marvels the Lord worked in us. Indeed, we are glad (Psa. 126:3). In spite of these provisions by God man still face terrible tough times, to the extent that he begins to ask questions such as, “What is happening to me? Where have I gone wrong; and what else does God want me to do?
